“Simile” is a catamaran 53’ x 28’ x 3’. She was built in Hamburg in 1993. The ‘modern equipment’ means navigation is supported by GPS system instead of using a “Sextant”. The up to date weather forecast  will be received via satellite as well the option to send and receive e-mails on board at sea.. Television is not available, however feel free to bring your personal music or dvd`s.. Sometimes live guitar music may be performed by the skipper while watching the evening sky and drinking a good bottle of wine from Portugal.

The relatively large galley is equipped with a stove, washbasin, working surface for two persons and a comfortable place for six persons to sit down and  relax.

Behind the kitchen there is a toilet and a washbasin, but no shower. A shower is installed on deck heated by solar via the heat from the sun.

In the front area of the catamaran - left hull and right hull - there is a cabin each with a large size bed (2x1.5m) including a washbasin. In the middle of the right hull there is a slightly larger cabin with a bed size of 2 x2, meters. That cabin provides enough space for 2 adults and their children below the bunk. Besides this there is also a well-equipped workshop with tools and equipment needed for ship maintenance.

Between the two bodies of the ship you will find a strong and stable deck offering   space and free movement. The bow of the ship is stretched by a trapeze which is one of the best areas of the ship for sunbathing and marinelife watching when the weather permits.

I am an active person. My philosophy is to enjoy life on the sailing boat while feeling the independence the sailing life offers.

All of that I would like to offer to my guests as well. Take the opportunity to dive with a snorkel, to make a mountain bike or kayak tour and  experience the diverse activities offered by the azores. The local seafood is abundant and excellent.

On board there is diving equipment for 3 people with a compressor available. Guests are responsible for providing their own wetsuits.  A valid diving license is required. Diving price is not included in the boat price and must be paid separately. If there is a mixed Group on Board, it has to be understood that we can not focus on diving only.
